The Doubletree by Hilton Huaqiao - Kunshan
The Doubletree by Hilton Huaqiao - Kunshan will be opening in November 2008 and it is a 24-story hotel with 398 guestrooms located in the new CBD area of Huaqiao in Kunshan. The hotel is in close proximity to the Shanghai International Automobile City and Shanghai International Circuit, which also houses the China Formula 1 race. Shanghai's two major airports, the Hongqiao International Airport and the Pudong International Airport are just 25 and 80 kilometers to the southeast. |

Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel Is Coming
The new Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel is opening in Beijing in July 2008. Managed by Marriott International, the Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel offers amenities and services, combined with contemporary interior design, which is complemented by artwork commissioned from local Beijing artists. The hotel offers 538 guestrooms including 19 luxuriously appointed suites. In addition, the hotel is introducing a "plug-in" connectivity panel that allows guests to turn in-room 37-inch flat-screen TVs into personal entertainment centers. Boasting meeting space of over 2,300 square meters, the Grand Ballroom is 1344 square meters, which can be divided into four sections, and the Junior Ballroom can be split into two sections. |

Wyndham Baolian Hotel Scheduled For Shanghai Opening In 2010
Wyndham Hotel Group International today announced plans to expand the Wyndham brand in China with the construction of a 337-room, 15-story luxury hotel in Shanghai. The Wyndham Baolian Hotel, scheduled to open in April 2010, is being developed by Shanghai Baolian Real Estate Company Ltd. in the city's Baoshan district. Weijie Zhu, principal owner and president of Shanghai Baolian Real Estate Company Ltd., signed a 10-year agreement with Wyndham Hotel Group International to manage the property. The hotel will feature four full-service restaurants; two bars; lobby lounge; nightclub; Wyndham Blue Harmony spa and fitness center; swimming pool; business center; and 1,650 square meters of meeting space including a 1,000-square-meter ballroom, boardroom and additional function rooms. The Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand is scheduled to make its debut in the Asia Pacific region during the fourth quarter this year with the opening of a newly constructed, 609-room luxury hotel in Xiamen, Fujian province. The Wyndham Xiamen Hotel also will be managed by Wyndham Hotel Group International. |

Grand Mercure Xidan Beijing Reopens After Extensive Refurbishment
Accor recently announced the reopening of the Grand Mercure Xidan Beijing, which is spearheading the brand's expansion in China. Located in the central district of Beijing, Grand Mercure Xidan is in walking distance of Tiananmen Square and the Xidan Shopping District. It is also close to the National Theatre, Financial Street, and major bank headquarters. After comprehensive preparations and over four months of work, the hotel has completed an extensive multi-million-yuan renovation of the China Kitchen Chinese restaurant, the V9 all day dining restaurant, Le Bar lobby lounge, the executive lounge, and the 69 rooms on the executive floor. In addition, all the hotel's public areas including the business center, the tour desk, and the kiosk have been refurbished. |

IHG Announces Opening Period For Huizhou Resort
The InterContinental Huizhou Resort says it will open its doors during the last quarter of 2008. The resort offers 220 executive club guest rooms and villas. While all of the executive club guest rooms offer panoramic views from private balconies or terraces, the 20 villas combine classic Chinese and contemporary architecture and come complete with a personal butler service. A spa and good golfing options are also available at the resort. Services are available for a Chinese medicine doctor who administers herbal remedies from the spa's own herbal shop and provides treatments such as acupuncture and other specialized traditional preventive and corrective antidotes. And the resort's 18 hole championship golf course comes with caddies handpicked for their experience, professionalism and understanding of the game. Unlike in many Chinese golf clubs, InterContinental Huizhou Resort's caddies will be fully salaried, with no tipping to be expected from guests. The InterContinental Huizhou Resort is also planning a number of dining options for guests. The gastronomical flagship is the resort's Bamboo Garden, serving an array of Cantonese delicacies and introducing new intimate fusion styles. The resort's Olives & Herbs restaurant offers another blend of organic, nutritious, herbal flavored food with a setting, service and cooking expertise associated with InterContinental hotels and resorts. |
